Subconscious desires are stronger than conscious decisions

...that the subconscious desires are incomparably stronger than the conscious decisions, and always override them? Though it seems that it is the conscious mind that calls the shots, it is almost entirely run and ruled by the subconscious desires. We call them the hidden influences that come from the subconscious mind, dark and unknown. To reason, they look irrational; to logic, they seem illogical.

You can make any decision you want, but unless the subconscious mind agrees and stands behind it, nothing ever happens. That’s because the subconscious mind is the driving force; the conscious mind is merely a driver, and not a very good one, most often.

You have cultivated a small part of the mind, and that part you call “me.” That’s the conscious mind. The larger, more dominant part of the mind you have excluded and rejected, alienated yourself from, but that’s in fact a more real you. We call it the unconscious, or subconscious, and it’s an inexhaustible source of energy and creativity, if used skillfully and wisely.
