To that the mind inclines
Friends, whatever thoughts are pondered upon and frequently considered, to that the mind inclines. Friends, when non-sensual thoughts are pondered upon and frequently considered, they drive out sensual thoughts, that mind inclines to non-sensual thoughts. When non-angry thoughts are pondered upon and frequently considered, they drive out angry thoughts, that mind inclines to non-angry thoughts. When non-harmful thoughts are pondered upon and frequently considered, they drive out harmful thoughts, that mind inclines to non-harmful thoughts.
